Queen’s 90th Birthday

On Saturday, 11th June Santon Downham Celebrates the Queen’s 90th Birthday with a day of old fashioned fun.
There is likely to be an extra car boot on the large village green (details yet to be sorted and decision made), there will be old fashioned games and competitions on the smaller green throughout the day :
three legged race, egg and spoon, bowl for the pig etc etc., (ideas welcome) children’s fancy dress competition, a dog competition of some kind, guess the weight of the cake, a treasure hunt and whatever else we can think of between now and then.
Bacon butties and teas in the cafe from 8.00 am until 10.30 am. a barbecue offering from 11.30 until around 2.00 pm.
High Tea will be served in the cafe from 3.30pm until 6pm  and in the evening there will be a Band and the bar will be open.
The timings are at this time only approximate.
All village residents will be offered one coupon per household resident for a FREE TEA (consisting of sandwiches, cake and scone with tea or coffee or a soft drink)
