Ancient Monuments

Santon Downham is made up of earlier settlements of Santon and Downham.

There are still remains of these scattered around the countryside which can be seen if you know where to look. The forestry commission has erected information panels around the area with details of these. These panels were commission from local artist Sue White. Copies of these can be found on her website.

Alas like many of these sites, all that really remains is low grass covered features in the landscape.
