As in many villages, the Village Hall has been host to all kinds of events, such as wedding receptions, children's parties, line dancing, darts matches, a youth club and numerous events for the Foresty Commission.

More recent times see's it hosting Salsa classes and Pilates and regularly hosts talks on African Wildlife.

It provides tea and coffee and bacon butties for the summer car boots and holds and annual beer festival with the local rotary club.

Considering the size of the village (80 houses) the hall is used by a much wider catchment area.

The Old Village Hall was demolished some time ago to be replaced by a new structure.

Now known as the Santon Downham Centre has its own website and is still  available for functions and other events. (See website for details).
