Coldest place in England
The weather station at Santon Downham on the Suffolk-Norfolk border near Thetford was the coldest place in England overnight on Sunday (18th January). The temperature there dropped to -5.5°C. But it wasn't the coldest night of the winter so far in the Anglia region. The thermometer fell to -6.4°C at Santon Downham on 30 December 2014. The lowest temperature in the UK on Sunday night was -11.8°C at Dalwhinnie in Scotland. | |
