After a long wait, LLU (Local Loop Unbundling) has reached the Brandon exchange.

This means that companies other than BT can choose to put their equipment in the exchange.

In practice this means that those offers for all inclusing cheaper broadband and phone may at last be available to Santon Downham.(if you've phoned in the past they all tell you that we're outside the area where they can offer it cheap).

At the moment the only company who've chosen to put their equipment in the exchange is Talk Talk, so the choice isn't that wide.

However it does mean that the likes of Sky may consider doing so in the future.
