1999 is a particularly significant year in the history of Beck Row as the village - together with Holywell Row, Kenny Hill and Burnt Fen - formed its own Parish Council. Prior to this date, the villages had been represented by elected members on the Mildenhall Parish Council. The formation of a separate Parish Council followed eight years of discussion and negotiation with the population, Mildenhall Parish Council, Forest Heath District Council and the Boundary Commission to name but a few.

For several years prior to the formation of the Parish Council, the Beck Row Community Association was created to reflect the interests and wishes of local inhabitants. The Association was - and is - made up of representatives from the clubs and organisations within Beck Row and although some people feel that there is little to do in the village, the various organisations are constantly busy.
