Mildenhall joins 22villages Project

08/10/99

Following a meeting with supporters of the Mildenhall museum, this town with its rich heritage is now part of the 22villages project (and NO, we are not going to change the name of the project!). They can be contacted via mildenhall@22villages.org.

Moyses Hall visit THIS WED (13/10) 7.30pm
With many items specially brought out of storage and representatives from Dalham, Lakenheath, Cavenham, Santon Downham and Tuddenham (to name just some) keen to attend, we should have a successful and interesting evening. If your community wishes to come along, try to let Joe know in advance, to ensure that your village's items can be made available. Digital cameras will be available to help you illustrate your articles with relevant artefacts (subject to the kind permission of Moyses Hall Museum, Bury St Edmunds). As an example there is a spectacular Late Iron Age cauldron (Brandon) and a rare medieval pewter button (Dalham).

A Great Start for Santon Downham
Veronica and the team have already produced a detailed timeline for the village and have now started on a series of oral history interviews with some of the longstanding locals. visit www.22villages.org and click on Santon Downham on the signpost.

Regards

JOE
