The Greatest Show In Town...
"We're looking for people with lots of community spirit who want to help bring pleasure to other peoples lives by helping organise local activities" says Lizzi Cocker, Forest Heath's Arts Development Officer. The Council and Rural Arts East want to hear from local groups interested in promoting professional arts events for their local community via an arts touring scheme. So village hall committees, parent teacher associations and local community groups take note, there are lots to choose from including jazz bands, salsa, drama, childrens' shows, dance and classical music. Support and financial backing is provided so please ring Lizzi on (01638) 719217 for more details (and say you heard about it through 22 villages!)

Reducing Image Size
Quite a number of you have asked "is there a quick and easy way to reduce the size of photos on your computer?" Most of the images we will use on your web sites are the size of the photo on the right. Any larger and they would take too long to download and however good your site is no one will wait 5 minutes for a page to load. SO.. I recommend that you down load a FREE programme called "A Smaller Image" by clicking on http://www.22villages.freeserve.co.uk/asqi10.exe once downloaded, double click on the file it will then create a folder (on your desktop) called ASquareImage, open this folder and click on Then open the image you want to resize and play with the top right sliderbar till you have an image around 200 pixels wide/high. to learn more about this prog go to www.trivista.com/products/asmallerimage/asihelp.htm or give me a call.
